Bizhawk, a multi-system emulator with built-in TAS recording capabilities, has been ported to the Mac. It eschews an OS X-native UI in favor of a wrapper that keeps the features from the Windows version. There are no plans for a Mac-native UI in the future, unfortunately. Nintendo DS emulator DeSmuME version 0.9.8 has finally been released. Chief among changes is a new Cocoa front-end, which seems to improve the responsiveness. This update also provides a "host of compatibility fixes"—loads of graphical and core bugfixes. Get it from the DeSmuME website.
The developers of ResidualVM issued a call-out for playtesters on April 15 for an upcoming 0.1.0 release. ResidualVM is a sister project to ScummVM that currently supports Grim Fandango to a point of completeability. Angelo Salese has stepped down as MAME project lead because of "real life issues and concerns." Miodrag Milanovic is now in charge.

In related news, MAME, along with its Mac-specific port SDLMAME, has been updated to version 0.145u8. The usual lengthy changelog includes a major I/O port change. There is an OS X (10.6 or later) binary available on the SDLMAME website. Prospective code contributors should also note that the code submission email has changed.
FS-UAE, an Amiga emulator with a focus on games, has been updated to version 1.2.0. Changes include a fix to the resources in the Mac bundle, a fix to a bug that caused screenshots to be saved as blank, and adjustments to the keyboard shortcuts. Sharp X68000 and X68030 emulator XM6i versions 0.34 and 0.35 were released in the past month. OS X Lion support appears to have been added. See the changes page (in Japanese) for more details.
Surprise, surprise—VirtualBox got another maintenance release. The developers sure are consistent. This time it's version 4.1.14, with four fixes relating to networking, 3D support, and Windows Guest Additions. See the changelog for details.
SpeedofMac provided two new PCSX-Reloaded builds in April. Changes were made to the video plugin and graphics plugin (are these the same thing?). Head over to SpeedofMac's PCSX-Reloaded page for the latest binary, or grab the source code from the official PCSX-Reloaded CodePlex site.
Nintendo Wii and Gamecube emulator Dolphin is marching on toward its eventual next release. There are a few new builds each week on the download page.
JPCSP, a Java-based PSP emulator, has received another svn build (2540). Changes include "more stable adhoc emulation, support for the new xuggle version and some fixes to emulation core." Check the JPCSP website to ensure you're getting the latest version.
Early Macintosh emulator Mini vMac is now in 3.3.0 alpha. The main change since 3.2.3 is the addition of LocalTalk emulation. Check out the Mini vMac homepage for more information.
Free42, an HP-42S calculator and HP-82240 printer simulator, has been updated to version 1.4.74. You can see the changes here. Download links are available at the Free42 official website.
DOSBox front-end Dapplegrey has been updated to version 2.36. The changes are minor and confusingly stated. Get it from the Classics for X website.
