Amiga emulator FS-UAE has hit version 1.0.0. The new release brings performance improvements, new configuration options, improved net play support, improved relative path handling in configuration files, and the ability to change controllers during game play. JPCSP, a PSP emulator, has new svn builds available. Recent changes include improved compatibility for software render, a new frame skip option, preliminary support for ad hoc connection, and compiler fixes. Head over to the official JPCSP website for more details.


ARAnyM, a virtual machine for running 32-bit Atari ST/TT/Falcon operating systems, was updated twice in March. Version 0.9.12 offers a new precise FPU emulation core, an important fix to CPU CAS instruction emulation, and more, while 0.9.13 includes a couple of important bug fixes. Get it at the ARAnyM website.

Classic Macintosh emulator Mini vMac's latest Development source snapshot has an improved magnification algorithm, and it will run within other emulators such as SheepShaver. You can still get stable builds from the Mini vMac download page.


Stella, an Atari 2600 emulator, has been updated to version 3.6.1. The 3.6 release added support for the 2600-daptor II device, amongst other things, while the 3.6.1 update extends the FA2 bankswitch scheme to handle 28K ROMs. See the Stella news page for more information, or get it (and maybe donate) at the Stella website.


Arcade emulator MAME has been updated to version 0.145u5. The usual plethora of changes and bugfixes can be seen here. You can get the source code via the official MAME website, or download a 64-bit Intel Binary from the SDLMAME website.


Nintendo Wii and Gamecube emulator Dolphin is currently getting several new development builds every week. Keep an eye on the Dolphin download page for updates.


Another month, another VirtualBox maintenance release. Well, two actually. Both 4.1.10 and 4.1.12 offer a plethora of minor improvements and fixes. See the Changelog for a list. You can download VirtualBox and learn more about the virtualisation tool at its official website.
