@menace690: I like the sound of that Gamecube adapter.

I'm writing to you all on my Hackintosh.

Specs:
MSI P67S-C43 B3 Motherboard
[Sandy Bridge] Intel Core i5 2500k 3.3 GHz overclocked 4.2 GHz stable on water-cooling (longing for a 3770k)
120 GB Corsair FORCE SATA III SSD boot drive
1.5 TB for storage
Zotac nVidia GTX 460 AMP'd edition 1GB GDDR5 RAM (full GPU acceleration, though OpenGL/CL is being strange at the moment)
24" ASUS VK246 Flat screen display
8 GB GSKILL DDR3 RAM
Some random DVD burner
OCZ 550W 100% Modular PSU (I forget the model number)
Mac OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.2

Runs great!

EDIT For xmas I got 16 GB RAM (4GBx4) and the 8 GB that was in here went into my media server, up from 4GB, and now both systems fly! I doubled the RAM in each system and it I can't believe the performance.
Last Edit: 11 years, 3 months ago by Shiggitay. Reason: Got more RAM for XMas...

FWIW I made one a few months... still missing the power but the mac-ness of my 2006 mini is worth it (WHY...WHY do they use really slow integrated graphics though?!?)

Basic stats...
- gigabyte H61M-S2PV mobo
- i5 (3500+ or something, I forget the number.)
- 8gb RAM
- Numerous graphics cards until one worked (Radeon 550ti with 2gb VRAM)
- Mountain Lion
2tb HD

---

Really powerful and only set me back about $400... I got it working 100% then went through some life changing events so sold everything in a fire sale.

Now I use a 2006 mini and a G4 mini. Looking to upgrade but currently saving for a wedding so maybe later?
