TOPIC: Openemu

Openemu 7 years, 8 months ago #4247

Since there's no updating on this site no more, we can post them on here like we've been doing. Openemu updated to 2.0.2. N64 games won't play like they are all on a cocaine addiction now. Plus they added the mGBA core, & many more fixes.

Seems that fix also fixed several other problems like the one I had with freezing when saving games.
Workaround was simple, but confusing for the 6rd old who loves Mario 64.

Openemu updates again...more updates this year than any other. Good job!

Fleshing out my OpenEmu setup a bit since emulation may be better for streaming WonderSwan games than trying to bolt a camera onto my WSC. Is there a way to toggle the WSC screen layout from landscape to portrait? Is this something OpenEmu could even do on its own, or would I need to bug the Mednafen devs?

Re: Openemu 7 years ago #4327

I've fiddled around with it a bit in RetroArch, which uses the same libemu framework as OpenEmu; Mednafen has the ability to control this, but so does libemu. As such, it should be something that can be tweaked in OpenEmu as well (although they may just consume what libemu gives them).

Usually systems that need rotation have a display mode button mapped. Try that?

Preferences, Controls, Scroll down to special keys.

Then in game, that button would cycle through the display modes...

I have no Wonderswan games to test with.

Re: Openemu 7 years ago #4329

found the display mode button, WS did have a key assigned, but it does not appear to change anything; at least not screen rotation.
Does mednafen have a WS core?

Yes, as of version 0.7.2.
This includes WonderSwan Color.
