First off, the timing of our recent server upgrade could not have been worse. To be quick, every year my company does a swap of our servers between locations. This gives us an opportunity to install new systems as well as dust off and upgrade our older systems. Unfortunately a combination of problems (weather, poor planning, and the holidays) caused significant problems to getting our shared hosting server (Mario) back online.
I take full responsibility for the latest outage, and assure you that this will not happen again for a very long time (if at all). MacScene is now hosted on a brand new Mac mini running Snow Leopard (named Mario), and is backed up by a second hard drive system (Luigi). A backup Mac mini will be installed within a month (yet to be named).
